Persy Jackson is a common high school student, living in the 21st century. But everything changes in his life, when he opens Greek mythology textbook. The Gods of Mount Olympus and its dreadful monsters someway managed to walk out of the book and now interfere in his life. First Persy gets suspected in the steal of Zeus’ lightning. Then all of a sudden his mother disappears. Persy gets acquainted with the God Poseidon, who turned out his real father. Thus Persy receives his new status of a demigod – half-human and half-god by origin. Further he gets involved into uneasy relations of the Gods, their quarrels and battles. Travelling to the place called Camp Half Blood Persy learns how to manage his new knowledge and the power he obtained. His main goal is to stop a devastating feud among the titans of Olympus and prevent the impending war, which will destroy the entire planet. On his way he meets his protector Grover, goddess Athena and demigod Annabeth, who need his assistance badly. This adventure becomes a severe test for brave Persy and his new friends. They have to find a true thief of Zeus’ lightning, save Persy’s mother from the Hell depths and disclose an uncomprehended mystery of the greatest power ever existing in the world.
