DreamWorks Animation presents a fourth film about Shrek – an ogre, who managed to challenge a dragon, rescue a charming princess Fiona from her claustration and save his kingdom in the previous three series. Having three kids and living a quiet family life now, Shrek seems to be no more schrecklich after all. Instead of terrifying the local community of numerous funny creatures, he autographs pitch forks. Shrek misses the days, when he was a thrilling figure all over his kingdom, whose roar frightened everyone into the woods to his heart sank to his boots.
The subtle dwarf Rumpelstiltskin offers Shrek to change his life to the better. Thus a simple-hearted ogre gets entrapped. He finds himself all of a sudden in another version of the place, called Far Far Away, where Rumpelstiltskin rules the world, and by orders of the dwarf ogres are to be hunted. But the most terrible thing, happened with twisted and luckless Shrek in this place, is the absence of Fiona, whom he has never met in this version of existence.  What can he do to re-establish his world, save his friends and come back to Fiona? The power of love is able to work miracles, but how true is that for Shrek?
The film is perfectly directed by Mike Mitchell, starring are Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Cameron Diaz, and the others.
